my name is avery callan and i am a ceramacist currently in chicago, il.

my work is a result of years of creative exploration and failure. i paint and cook and clean a lot and pottery felt like a new look at everything i already love.

i’m inspired by my beautiful cats, my KIND AND ARTISTIC dad, and the VULNERABLE softness that has LED a lot of my personal growth.

working with clay is frustrating, tempermental, and delicate. i tend to share those similarities and have found immense comfort in the ART FORM.
